Unit 13 Twicknham Garden


1st stanza - 


Poet is angry and comes to the garden, which is probably his patroness, whom he had paid handsome tributes to. He thinks the garden is a panacea.

Compared to snake and spider. Turning Manna to Gall.


2nd Stanza-


The garden is sinister and the trees are laughing at him. He wishes to be a tree or fountain in the garden.


3rd stanza:


Compares his tears to the mistress and claims it’s not the same.


Unreciprocated love is no love.
